Subjects Taught

I am a 1993 graduate of Cook High School. In 1998, I graduated from Valdosta State University with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. After teaching for several years, I began working on my Masters degree. I graduated in 2003 from Georgia Southwestern University with my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.

I started teaching in 1998 after graduating in March of 1998. I have taught first grade for many years and I am now in Kindergarten teaching EIP.   I want to make it a successful year for all of my students. My philosophy is that all kids can learn but all learn at different rates and in different ways.

Academics is one side of teaching, but I also believe in making a difference in my world. Not only do I feel a responsibility to teach children academics but believe in helping students to become productive citizens in our class, school, and world.

I was born and raised in Cook County. I am married and have 2 children.
