Bio
Being a strong advocate for building relationships with students, I strive to support teachers in their classroom to promote student achievement. I am married to Cam McDaniel and we have two children, Caden and Natalie. I graduated from Cook High School in 2002. After high school, I attended Valdosta State University and received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education with areas of concentration being Math, Science, and Reading. In 2010, I obtained a Master's degree in Math and Science Education. With teacher leadership being my focus, I received my Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from VSU in 2021. I have also received a gifted endorsement and a computer science endorsement. I started my teaching career in Tift County in 2006 teaching reading and science. During the 2009-2010 school year, I was named Matt Wilson Elementary School's Teacher of the Year. In 2013, I returned back home to the Black and Gold, teaching math at Cook Middle School. While at CMS, I served in many leadership roles, including being a member of the Building Leadership Team. I am excited to be a part of the Cook Primary School family as we strive to increase student achievement by building meaningful, strong relationships between our students, teachers, and community.
