Pre-K Teacher

Hi, I am Mrs. Boyd.  I've been a teacher in Cook County for a long time.  I have taught up to eighth grade. 

 

I began my career in Florida as a Pre-K teacher, and now I have come full circle and am teaching in Pre-K.

 

I love teaching.  When children's eyes light up, and they understand is one of the best moments as a teacher.  I love it when a former student comes up and tells me I helped make a difference in his/her life.  What an honor to teach.

I am married to my wonderful husband and together we have 8 children, 6 boys and 2 girls.  We are Nana and Papa to 6 grandchildren.  There are 5 boys and 1 girl.  During my time away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family, I like to read, and garden.
